Our stay at the monastery was a delight, with memorable experiences such as enjoying evening drinks in the cloisters and the stunning nearby Santuario de Nossa Senhora da Abadia, which is just over 2 km away and perfect for city strolls and park views. the only downside was the minor inconvenience of our bathroom flooding unexpectedly, but the staff were accommodating throughout our stay.

Beautiful stay in a historic gem!

We had an amazing time staying in the classic room with gorgeous views! The hiking trails nearby were awesome for exploring nature, and our special dietary needs were met effortlessly at mealtimes. Only thing was, finding staff to order a drink at the bar was tricky sometimes.

Staying at Pousada Mosteiro De Amares was a dream come true! The stunning architecture and beautiful interiors gave me a glimpse into history while enjoying modern comforts. Dinner was a culinary delight, expertly serviced by warm, friendly staff who truly enhanced our experience. I’ll never forget basking in the tranquil atmosphere and gazing out at breathtaking nature views during breakfast. Truly a remarkable stay!

While the charm of the place is undeniable, I did notice that the soundproofing could be improved. I often heard plumbing noises from neighboring rooms, which slightly disrupted the serene ambiance. A quieter night would have made it all the more enjoyable as I tried to relax.

The restaurant, located in the original kitchen of the monastery, serves excellent food, including local specialties, with a magical ambiance. The outdoor swimming pool made of marble offers a fantastic view of the gardens, making every moment relaxing.

Staying in this unique place was a dream come true for our family of seven. We explored the nearby trails in the breathtaking Peneda Gerês National Park, enjoyed cozy evenings by the fireplace, and relished the delightful breakfasts. The staff's friendliness added to our memorable stay.

I had an amazing 4-night stay in a stunning Family Room, soaking in the 12th-century monastery vibe! The dining experience was captivating, especially in the beautifully restored kitchen. the food was out of this world. Though the bar could use more varied service, I'd go back in a heartbeat!

The Classic Double or Twin Room was pretty spacious and clean, with a lovely view of the grounds. It felt comfortable enough for a short stay, but the soundproofing was a bit lacking, and I could hear traffic and plumbing noises from other rooms. The historical atmosphere of the hotel was definitely a standout feature, though, giving it a unique vibe! Just wish the room had better air circulation.
